Fun Times Ocean Kayaking around Bowen Island

I love living in Vancouver and being so close to the ocean. I love anything that has to do with being in the water –kayaking being one of them 😀
I went for a motorcycle ride with a friend over to Bowen Island for the first time to go kayaking for the day. So fun!

Bowen Island is just a quick 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay.
In Snug Cove, beside the ferry terminal, is Bowen Island Sea Kayaking Shop. The staff there are super friendly and they get you set up in a kayak right at the dock We explored Snug Cove and the Northern/Eastern coast around Bowen Island. It was a bit windy that day, so the waves got way too choppy to over to the west coast.

I was hoping to see some seals, no luck there,  but we did see an otter, several bald eagles and a cute family of Canadian Geese 🙂
