Happy International Women’s Day!

I LOVE being a woman! 🙂 I wish all of the women all over the world a sense of empowerment and confidence on this day where we celebrate women and women’s rights!

Throughout history, women have been viewed as inferior. It’s hard to believe that women weren’t allowed to vote until the 20th century. International Women’s Day is about taking the time to remember and be grateful for the fact that we DO have so many rights that the women before us did not.

We have the right to vote, to have any career we choose, a right to use contraception, a right to choose your own partners, a right to refuse sex or marriage, the right to choose to be child-free, and the right to create your own life rather than only be allowed to be a man’s possession and stay home making babies and taking care of the household.
International Women’s Day is about remembering all of that and also the fact that there are millions of women in the world who still don’t have these rights.  🙁
Today, women who have these rights have mastered the art of balancing a variety of different roles: career-woman, homemaker, wife, girlfriend, daughter, mother, aunt, boss, employee and friend.
Our world would be a less compassionate place if not for us women!

I LOVE that I am an independent woman, and that is considered a good thing now-a-days! I have always gone after what I’ve wanted and any woman can do the same when she sets her mind and her heart to it and has ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE in herself and her abilities.
So, always remember how wonderful it is to be a woman and let’s show one another some extra love and encouragement today Ladies!!!
