I finished writing my book, “The 10 Components of Confidence”  and I wanted to share an excerpt from the first chapter.

Self-awareness is knowledge about yourself.

Seeing yourself as you really are and being fully honest with yourself, about yourself.
It is the very first component in discovering your inner strength and having a high level of confidence.

Self-awareness is knowing and understanding all aspects of yourself including your values, skills, talents, gifts, beliefs, goals, desires, personality and attitudes, as well as your weaknesses and faults. It is a matter of discovering and understanding everything about yourself, the good and the not so good. Having this valuable information will enable you to be comfortable with who you are and to take pride in your individuality.

The only person who you will know for your entire life should not be a stranger!
Self-awareness is knowing the answers to the following questions:

  1. Who am I?
  2. What am I all about?
  3. What can I do?
  4. What can’t I do?
  5. What are my values?
  6. What are my skills?
  7. What are my gifts?

Take a few minutes to answer these questions to develop greater self-awareness 🙂
