Hiking Up Cypress Mountain to Eagle Bluffs

A beautiful late summer day, the weather was gorgeous, so a couple friends and I decided to go for a nice long hike up Cypress Mountain.

The hike starts at Cypress Mountain’s downhill ski area and then up the side of Black Mountain.
Which is a new trail that was  developed in 2004 that is very well maintained, but really steep in some places.

There are dozens of beautiful ponds and smaller lakes, as well as a couple bigger lakes: Owen Lake and Cougar Lake.

The view at the top was absolutely breathtaking. A fantastic place for a picnic!
